NexaWal Privacy Policy

Applies to the NexaWal Android and iOS apps published by Nexatrode LLC.

Summary

NexaWal is a local, self-custodial Monero wallet. Nexatrode LLC does not operate user accounts for NexaWal, does not receive your seed or keys, and does not ship third-party analytics or crash reporters in the app.

What stays on your device

Your seed, spend/view keys, and wallet cache stay on the device.
Optional device authentication is handled by the operating system; we do not receive biometric data.
Settings such as node URL, theme, scan lookahead, auth preference, and optional fiat estimates are stored locally.

What we do not collect

The NexaWal authors do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, seed phrases, balances, or transaction history from the app. There is no NexaWal login and no Nexatrode-operated cloud backup of your wallet.

Network

The app talks to the Monero daemon RPC you configure. Fresh installs may default to a public endpoint such as https://rpc.nexatrode.com.

A remote node can typically see:

your IP address
when you sync and broadcast
which outputs the wallet queries while scanning

It does not receive your seed. For stronger privacy, point the app at a node you run. I2P / hybrid mode, when enabled, routes configured traffic through your local I2P HTTP proxy.

Optional fiat estimates

Fiat estimates are off by default. If you turn them on, the app contacts public price/FX endpoints (for example Kraken and Frankfurter). Those servers can see your IP and that a price was requested. Wallet amounts, addresses, and transaction history are not sent.

Third-party services

We do not ship advertising SDKs or Nexatrode analytics SDKs in NexaWal for user data collection. App store platforms have their own policies for distribution. In-app links (this policy, source, explorers) have their own policies.

Children’s privacy

NexaWal is not directed at children and is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children.
